MAD ACCEPTS ADVERTISING
What's YOUR Opinion

Mad #403 Mad XL #8 has arrived in stores and perhaps the biggest story of the new century lies within the covers of this Mad special. Mad has now begun accepting regular ADVERTISING. The back cover is the Altoids ad featuring Spy vs Spy (this ad ran in many magazines over the summer). The inside front cover is an ad for Corn Nuts. Mad regular issues now contain 8 pages of ads along with the 48 pages of Mad stuff. Number 403 had ads from Corn Nuts and Altoids along with Cheez Whiz, Namco, 3D0, the group Finger Eleven, a 2 page center ad spread from Sim Coaster, the Dark Age of Camelot and Oni for PlayStation 2.

This marks the first time Mad has made a conscious effort to sell regular REAL ADVERTISING on their pages, What do YOU think? Is this the downfall or the savior of Mad. What is YOUR opinion.
