I have been reading MAD Magazine for over 20 years. I remember the first one I ever bought had a really hilarious cover, so I opened it up, started reading, and I was hooked. Until recently, I have always bought MAD off the newsstand. I never had a subscription. The only reason I have one now is because of the subscription bonuses you get when you order. After all, I am a collector!

     Up until around five years ago, all I collected were the magazines. I had no idea about other MAD collectibles until I read an article about another guy's collection. This got me interested. I had to see what I could find, so I placed a couple of newspaper want ads and, to my surprise, I bought a MAD T-shirt and a pair of MAD bookends. This really got me going into MAD collections, taking me to where I am now.

     I now own a complete run of MAD Magazines and Comics, including all of the Specials and Annuals with their posters, records, etc. I also own every title of the MAD paperback books, all of them lst printings. These are the most common of the MAD collectibles. My collection also contains things that most people do not even know exist.

     Included in my collection are many pre-MAD collectibles, as well as several excellent unlicensed MAD collectibles that I own. These include an Alfred E. Neuman Baby Barry Doll, Screwball: The MAD MAD Game, Alfred E. Neuman Salt and Pepper Shakers, an Alfred E. Neuman Clock, and a large replica of the MAD Zeppelin.
